IPMH Debuts Hand Crafted Body Care Products at American Legion 414
April 29, 2018
People left the American Legion with soft hands and wonderfully scented soaps. It was a bright and brisk Saturday morning as IPMH kicked off its Spring fundraising by joining other artisans and resellers at the Forest Park American Legion's Rummage and Craft Sale on Saturday April 28. We debuted our handmade goats milk soaps, soy candles, body butter & lotions and even lip gloss!
In addition to fundraising, the body care products are part of the Jr. Apothecaries initiative where we teach participants in our employment programs the basics in following recipes to make homemade soaps and candles. They have the opportunity to learn the process and then develop their own recipes that they can market into a home based business or just develop their confidence as a Maker.
All proceeds from the sale of these products go directly to fund the EXCEL Program, an employment training and readiness program for people with disabilities and parents who receive TANF benefits.
You can purchase the products on our website or by calling 708-358-8570.
